Energy Meteorology

Energy Meteorology is a major research field within the Energy and Semiconductor Research Laboratory (EHF) of the Institute of Physics. It is a new discipline at the interface between renewable energy research and atmospheric physics and provides methods and data for the characterisation of the fluctuating power output from solar and wind energy systems.
The Energy Meteorology group is also a major contributor to ForWind - the Center for Wind Energy Research and to the Virtual Institute of Energy Meteorology (vIEM).
